Professional Background
- Supervises a team of five regional economists and one social science analyst who conduct economic feasibility analyses and social impact assessments for proposed flood risk reduction projects. Projects range from multi-million dollar hurricane protection levees and urban drainage systems to nonstructural alternatives such as structure elevation and acquisition. The focus of a 26-year career with the New Orleans District is the application of planning principles and practices to water resources development and the nation’s civil works infrastructure.
- Certified Flood Plain Manager, accredited by the Association of State Flood Plain Managers, Madison Wisconsin. Also serves on the Corps’ National Nonstructural/Flood Proofing Committee.
