- In more than 40 years of research in Louisiana, I have been involved in a number of projects, these have resulted in more than 380 public lectures; more than 100 field trips; numerous university-based committees; nearly 60 radio and television interviews and an equal number of newspaper or magazine stories; presented a paper at nearly 200 regional, national or international conferences; and published more than 100 items from books to work associated with sponsors or non-sponsored research.
